Images & Visions: Far-Out Pictures That make You Think |
The old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." is oh so true. Being a visual person, I love images. A single image can be very powerful. When Franklin Roosevelt saw the AP photo of the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima, he knew instinctively, that Americans needed to see that. It galvanized the Nation. When one of the Apollo astronauts brought back the first photo of the complete Earth from space it touched the hearts and minds of millions. It showed us our beautiful blue marble in space, our home, our world, our oneness. It still gets to me.So, what follows is a collection of interesting images I've collected over the years.
