Chapter 1: Reiki Introduction (Reiki 101)
How Reiki came into my Life - The story of how after nearly 20 years of studying metaphysics (taking time out for meals of course) I found my way to Reiki.

Reiki - An Essential Energy Skill - The energetics of Reiki and the power of the simplicity of this elegant energy modality.

Reiki Level I - The Basics - Everything that’s is included in Reiki Level I class. even though this is only the first level of Usui Reiki, it is very powerful and effective.

Reiki Attunement Experience - What the Attunement process is like for Reiki Level I. The opening up of the 4th, 6th, and 7th chakras can be an exhilarating and challenging experience, particularly if your still have unresolved issues.

Ki Demonstrations - Some simple and fun ways to experience Ki energy and an explanation of the roll Ki plays in Aikido.

The Reiki Experience - What it’s like to have a Reiki session. Some people just have a nice, relaxing nap and others see into the deeper nature of Life.

Reiki Self Treatment - How to do Reiki on yourself. This is an awesome alternative to taking a nap after a hard day’s work.

Reiki Level II Experience - The next level up and several more tools to add to your Reiki toolbox. The level II student is trained in 3 of the 4 sacred Reiki symbols and how to use them to increase their power and focus, initiate long distance healing, and assist in mental and emotional balancing.

Reiki Level III Experience - So, you want to be a Reiki Master? What it’s like using the level III tools, as well as what “Reiki Masterness" is all about.

Reiki Symbols - An overview of what “symbols” are really all about and how to use the Usui characters in a Reiki session for laser-like focus.

Intention - The Foundation of Reiki - Oftentimes in Life, it’s the little things that make a difference. The practice of “setting your intention” before a Reiki session can make all the difference.

Reiki Wrap-Up - If you are doing Reiki on someone, how you close your Reiki session is very important. When you work with Reiki you are moving within another person’s auric field. It’s very easy to unknowingly pick up another’s negative energy patterns. Presented here are ways to energetically disconnect with the person you are working with, as well as how to remove negative energy that has become attached to you.

Chapter 2: Energy Tools
Chakras 101 - The basics of the Chakra system and how to use Chakra knowledge in a Reiki session. There are physical, mental, and emotional aspects for each Chakra. Knowing what they are will enable you to “talk” to each Chakra as you move through the Reiki session.

Lightwork - This is the new term for any of the energy modalities that are currently being used. If you are using a modality that uses “energy” of any sort, then you can be considered a “Lightworker.” This chapter offers an explanation of the ocean of cosmic energy that we are literally surrounded by and how to use that energy.

Five Points of Power - These would be worth writing on a card and carrying around in your wallet. A wonderful set of precepts that if you can remember to use them, could help create a quantum leap in your spiritual growth.

Network 2012 - Lightworker’s Invitation - Feeling alone in the ocean of your new-found spirituality? This is an invitation to link up with others via the internet who deliberately use any of the energy modalities or are simply interested in New Thought spirituality.

Chapter 3: Inspiration Tools
What Was Your First Conscious Spiritual Experience? - We tend to forget that we are all spiritual beings, having a human experience. Sometimes we experience things that remind us of our spirit nature. Knowing and remembering your first conscious spiritual experience can show us our true nature and help us to see that we are all on a path towards self-remembering.

Being On and Off the Path - We awaken... and doze off... and awaken... and doze off... over and over again. Sometimes we are “on” and other times we’re “off.” Early on in our Awakening process, many of us get down on ourselves when we think that we have “fallen back” into one of our old, base desires. Hold on, hold on! The good news is that it’s just part of the “process.” So, if you're going to get drunk, get drunk as consciously as you can.

The Radio Voice & The Deep Inner Voice - How to tame that nagging voice inside your head that won’t shut up! Most people say HORRIBLE things to ourselves about ourselves. Ugly, terrible, hurtful things that if someone else said we’d sue them for lible! <-- That’s the “Radio Voice” and it tends to DROWN OUT our Deep Inner Voice... the whisper of our Soul. This chapter helps us to recognize the Radio Voice, how to turn down the volume of the Radio Voice, and how to hear our Deep Inner Voice. <-- The voice of our genius.

We Create Our Own Reality - This is a deeper look at a much used expression, “you create your own reality.” The question often comes up, “So I created the car accident I was in?” The answer is, yes, but not in the way that you might imagine.

The Lay of the Land Concept - Too many times we find ourselves in situations where we’re like a fish out of water. Seeing things “just as they are” and not resisting can go a long way in allowing us to relax and intuit what to do as we move into a new or unfamiliar situation.

Why Is Inner Work So Hard? - A look at the challenging arena of the inner mind and why it’s so difficult to tame. Inner work isn’t just holding happy thoughts, it’s also dealing with all of your life’s “story” about what happened to you. There are many paths, but the end-game is always “forgiveness” either for what another did or what you think that you did. This is relatively easy to talk about while being VERY challenging to do.

What Are Problems...Really? Our culture seems to want to avoid problems like the plague. We don’t look very cool when a problem is biting us in the butt and has the better of us. There are basic reasons why we all experience problems. We look at what they really mean and how to use their very presence as a tool for their removal.

Meditation: Do I Really Have To? It seems that everyone who is “spiritual” meditates. But what is it? Why is it so difficult to “just sit”? Are there ways to get to the same place of inner peace? Fortunately, there’s something for everyone... really.

Spiritual Perspective on the Hubble Space Telescope - The superstar of astronomy is showing us a Cosmos that is more breath-taking, more awesome, and wild than we ever imagined. What if it’s all just a model for the limitlessness of Life and God? Hmmmmm..... Far out, brother.

Joe Versus The Volcano - This is a very silly movie with some good metaphors and an AMAZING statement of what it’s like to be Awake. Do you know the scene? If not, catch it on the movie channel or rent it and see if you can catch the secret. It will make you wonder why it was put there.

Chapter 4: Practical Tools
Goal Setting - The Master Skill - Life can “just happen,” but a well thought out plan (goal) can make a huge difference. Goal Setting is a skill that should be taught to all children as part of their educational curriculum. Fortunately, it’s never too late to learn. Wouldn’t it be an amazing thing to know how to have SIX WEEKS of creative thinking and planning time EVERY YEAR? The answer is in this chapter.

How To Expand and Contract Time - A fun “mind game” that can make your day fly by and turn a weekend into a 2-week vacation. If the “weekend vacation” is a bit of a stretch for you, just try it as you are leaving your workplace. Stay with the technique and your evening will feel like a weekend. REALLY!

Click Your Amygdala Forward - Presented here is brain researcher T.D.A. Lingo’s amazing formula for an instant cosmic experience. Lingo is gone now, but fortunately Neil Slade inherited all of Lingo’s research and has continued on promoting Lingo’s knowledge and training people how to “click their amygdala forward” to self-stimulate their brain to higher function, pleasure, and life. AMAZING stuff!

Deep, Probing Questions - The Mind loves to be asked questions and asking deep probing questions can yield extraordinary insights. Presented in this chapter is a simple way of “thinking on paper” and asking deep probing questions. Although this takes patience, the results are worth the effort.

Peace the 21st: How to Construct a “Thought Image of Peace” on the 21st Day of March, June, September, and December. - A wonderful way of celebrating the seasons and an opportunity to send loving peace energy to the planet. The seasonal equinox points are wonderful markers of when the energy of the seasons changes. Energetically linking up with the Earth at these seasonal changes is personally energizing and gives you the opportunity to add your loving peace energy to the collective of other like-minded, awakening souls.

Chapter 5: Word Tools
Timely or Untimely Quotes - Our culture is abound with so many “experts” it is often impossible to know which expert really knows what’s going on. This is an amusing collection of pronouncements from many famous “experts” that in hindsight look outrageously silly. Some of these quotes are from people who are contemporary household names.

Books and Audio Tapes to Wake Up To - Its never been easier to add more knowledge and information into your brain. Bookstores are in every mall in America and they offer tapes and books with knowledge that a century ago, you had to travel to some far, far away country to find that special teacher. Now, you can read at your leisure and even listen while you drive you car.

Chapter 6: Staying Awake
How To Keep It Going - Maintaining your awakeness is the work of a lifetime. That’s because you’ll be at it all the rest of your life and then some. Here are some suggestions as to how to stay in your awakened state of mind.

A Reiki Perspective on the WTC Disaster - As a spiritually awakening person, what do you do with your anger and grief over what happened on September 11, 2001? Here are a few suggestions.

Choose To Be A Peace Emitting Presence - Our thoughts are always projecting out into our surrounding spaces. When we project out peaceful, loving thoughts, people we come in contact with (even just a someone we walk by at the supermarket) pick up on our energy vibe and it has an affect. Our highest thoughts can provide someone with an “experience” of divinity without words! It can be a heart-to-heart experience that cuts through all of our social agendas.
